Xingcheng, Liaoning was honored with the title��Chinese Swimwear Town��by China National Textile & Apparel Council and China Garment Association. This is the first of this kind in China.

Xingcheng swimwear industry stared from the 80's of last century. It has now formed its own industrial chain and sales channels. As of July 2010, Xingcheng has more than 120 swimwear manufacturers. 30 of them reported annual sales exceeding five million yuan. Almost all those 30 enterprises adopted imported equipment in the production. Some of them have their own design team. A few has acquired the ISO9001 quality system certification and ISO2000 quality management system certification, and became the model for the rest enterprises. Currently, the city has 71 registered trademarks of swimwear, of which more than 30 are for export. The products have been exported to 25 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Russia. In 2009 its operating income reached 740 million yuan with export worth $ 30 million. The annual output reached 60 million pieces, accounting for 1 / 3 of the total swimsuit output in China, and 20% of global production. Today, Xingcheng ranked top three swimwear production bases in China, with Yiwu, Zhejiang, and Jinjiang, Fujian.
