The Silk Road Forum was held on 30th of October in Shanghai International Conference Center. The Silk Road Forum is entitled to focus on the industry, the exhibition, the feasibility, and the authority. And it chose its debut in the world known 13rd Intertextile. The theme this time is: Win With Technology & Brand.

The development of the industry needs discovery and the quest for the future. An exhibition also needs more elements to extend its function, which enable it to become the platform for the commerce and the lighthouse of the development of the industry. That’s why CCPITEX cooperated with the Media Center of CNTAC presents the Silk Road Forum, a whole new activity that brings more new elements into the exhibition.
More than 200 domestic and international exhibitors will display linings, buttons, zippers, labels, threads and tapes and other accessories as part of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2007, one of the leading apparel textile trade events in China. The show, which includes approximately 1,800 total exhibitors, runs 29 October to 1 November 2007 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai.
Under this background, the Silk Road Forum talks about the policies, the industries, the business and the commerce for the textile industry. The whole forum is divided into several units, beginning with the focuses of the industry and tries to seek the way and the method of solving the current problems.
The 1st Silk Road Forum goes directly to “technology” and “the brand”, the two most emphasized keywords in nowadays’ textile industry. From the industrial chain of textile industry, apparel, fabrics, accessories, machineries, raw materials, all of these elements need the contribution of the brand. Fortunately, the growth model of Chinese fabrics industry is changing into a more added-value way with more technology elements inside. Many enterprises have realized that producing high-end products are the best way to survive the market.
The guests invited in the 1st Silk Road Forum are the Chairman of Haitian Co. Ltd, Mr. Wang Qiming, General Manager of High Fashion Silk (Zhejiang) Co.Ltd. Mr. Lin Ping, General Manager of Marketing Department, Mr. Yoshihisa Kitamichi, the CEO of Ruyi Group, Mr. Qiu Dong, Vice President of China Huafu Trade & Group Corp, Ms. Chen Ling, CEO Assistant of Futian Co. Ltd, Mr. Yang Xiaojian. These guests are invited to tell their experiences in the R&D and the brand establishing.
Meanwhile, Mr. Yang Shibin, the Vice President of China Knitting Association and Vice Secretary of CNTAC, Professor Bian Xiangyang from Donghua University, General Manager of Xukuan Co.Ltd, Ms. Zhuang Fangrong, and Mr. Wei Lin, the Director of Media Center of CNTAC, Mr. Zhou Shaoxiong, CEO of Seven Wolf Co., Ltd, Professor Liu Ruipu from Beijing Apparel College were invited as watch group to give further discussion.
At the ending part, Mr. Zhang Yankai, the Vice President of CNTAC and Mr. Didier Grumbach, the president of the French Federation of Couture, were invited to give a submit talk upon the theme.
Mr. Du Yuzhou, the president of CNTAC delivered his closing speech which delivered his hope on elevating the R&D and brand building.
The Silk Road Forum became a very special event during the Intertextile 2007.
